The Sacrifice That Had to Happen | Hebrews 10:5-18

The death of Jesus on the cross was not an accident or a last resort. It was the central and essential part of God's plan of salvation from the very beginning. Hebrews 10:5-18 gives three reasons why His sacrifice was necessary. It fulfilled the will of God, inaugurated a new covenant, and permanently sanctified every believer. The old covenant sacrifices pointed forward to Christ but could never fully remove sin. Jesus plus nothing is the only equation that works for salvation. Because of the cross, every person who places faith in Christ is fully forgiven, declared righteous, and secure forever.
