The Mission Hasn’t Changed (1/4/26)
Mark 1:17
True discipleship involves three essential characteristics revealed in Jesus’ call to follow Him. First, disciples must know Jesus personally through repentance and faith, not just religious activities like baptism or church attendance. Second, disciples grow in Jesus continually as He transforms them through the Holy Spirit’s work over time. Third, disciples go with Jesus missionally by evangelizing others and helping new believers mature in their faith. This process of knowing, growing, and going creates a multiplication effect where disciples make disciples who make disciples. Every believer should evaluate whether they are truly living out all three marks of discipleship, positioning themselves for spiritual growth while actively sharing their faith with others.
