Who is Jesus, Really?

One of the most important questions anyone will ever face is the one Jesus asked His disciples: Who do you say that I am? People across history and around the world have offered many different answers, from prophet to moral teacher to legend, but none of those answers have the power to save. Peter's confession in Matthew 16 cuts through the confusion. Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, the one and only Messiah who fulfills every promise of Scripture. This is not a question that can be answered by proxy. Every person must come to faith personally, because God has no grandchildren. A true understanding of who Jesus is depends not on human reasoning but on divine revelation, as God opens hearts through the gospel and the work of the Holy Spirit.
