Matt Wooster

Matt was born and raised in Houston, TX. At an early age he saw many of his friends receive Jesus and get baptized and he wanted to do the same. But in the wisdom of his children’s minister, she discerned that his heart was not ready. Two years later, Matt received Jesus into his life, but it wasn’t until high school that he started to take his faith seriously. Through the investment of his youth leaders, he began to sense that God was calling him into ministry.

Since 2010, God has given Matt a passion for raising up the next generation to make disciples. Matt leads our Student Ministry where his heart is to “equip students to imitate Jesus.” Matt graduated from the College of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Houston in 2016 (B.S. in Biblical Studies) and from the Fort Worth campus in 2019 (Advanced Master’s in Christian Education with a focus in Missions). In 2016 Matt married the love of his life, Molly and they have two boys, Kai and Emmett. Some of their favorite things to do are discipling their boys in the home, spending time outdoors, trying new international foods, and sharing the hope of Jesus in the community.
