Faith Forward Vision Plan 2026-2028

Discover Lakeland Baptist Church’s Faith Forward Vision Plan, outlining our goals for spiritual growth, community impact, and expanded ministry over the next three years.

Priority 1: Prayer
Priority 1: Prayer

Our goal is to strengthen our church’s dependence upon prayer as a vital part of our spiritual life together. We will pursue this by creating consistent opportunities for corporate prayer, weaving prayer intentionally into every area of church life, and setting aside focused seasons for renewed emphasis on prayer. Through ongoing prayer gatherings, special times of spiritual renewal, and dedicated prayer teams, we seek to cultivate a culture where prayer undergirds all that we do.

Priority 2: Discipleship & Spiritual Formation
Priority 2: Discipleship & Spiritual Formation

Our goal is to deepen discipleship and foster spiritual formation throughout the life of the church. We will pursue this by strengthening participation in small groups, expanding opportunities for biblical learning, and investing in the development of lay leaders who can teach and disciple others. We aim to cultivate a culture of intentional discipleship through new classes and groups, a unified Bible reading plan, and clear pathways for every member to grow in faith and actively serve in ministry.

Priority 3: Community Outreach & Missions
Priority 3: Community Outreach & Missions

Our goal is to increase the number of LBC members living life on mission. We will pursue this by creating meaningful opportunities for hands-on mission and outreach, equipping members to confidently share their faith, and developing strategic partnerships that extend the church’s presence into the community and beyond. Through local outreach efforts, mission partnerships, and intentional engagement with unchurched families, we seek to mobilize our church to live out the Great Commission in everyday life.

Priority 4: Lostness
Priority 4: Lostness

Our goal is to reach more people for Christ and make a meaningful impact on lostness within our community. We will pursue this by intentionally sharing the gospel through every ministry of the church, encouraging personal evangelism among our members, and creating welcoming environments where people can hear and respond to the message of Christ. Through ongoing gospel conversations, visible steps of faith such as baptism, and strategic investment in children and student ministries, we seek to see lives changed and new people connected to the life of the church.

Priority 5: Stewardship
Priority 5: Stewardship

Our goal is to strengthen the overall financial health of the church in order to support faithful ministry and long-term sustainability. We will pursue this by encouraging biblical stewardship, providing practical financial discipleship, and creating clear and trustworthy systems for generosity. Through intentional teaching, improved giving practices, shared stories of generosity, and thoughtful planning for future facility needs, we seek to steward God’s resources with wisdom and integrity.
