Dear Church Family,
On Thursday, July 2, Governor Abbott issued a statewide mask mandate to help prevent the further spread of COVID-19 in Texas. The order requires Texans who live in counties with more than 20 COVID-19 cases to wear masks while in a business, other buildings open to the public, and outdoor public spaces. The policy does exempt children younger than 10 years of age and people who cannot wear a mask because of a medical condition. While the order does not require those actively providing or obtaining access to religious worship to wear masks, it strongly encourages us to do so. During this time, we want to be a church that loves our neighbors well, respects our governing authorities, and shows concern for the safety and health needs of our members and community. So, in light of this new statewide mask mandate, our mask policy starting this Sunday, July 5, as a church will be as follows:
Masks will be required for the worship service, unless you are exempt from wearing a mask because of age or because of a medical condition.
Please bring your own masks to church each Sunday. If you do not have a mask, we will have some available for you at our check-in station as you enter the building. We appreciate your patience and understanding, as we continue to lead through this pandemic.
