2 Peter 3:3-13
The return of Christ will be sudden and unexpected, like a thief in the night, with no one knowing the exact timing. When Jesus returns, He will bring judgment upon the world and those who have rejected Him, while ushering in a new heaven and earth where righteousness dwells for believers. Understanding this future event should transform how we live now – prioritizing the spiritual over material, taking obedience seriously, and choosing the eternal over temporal. As believers, we should both desire and hasten Christ’s return through faithful witness and prayer, living each day with an eternal perspective.
