God’s People, God’s Work
Nehemiah 11:2-12:28
Nehemiah 11-12 reveals three essential qualities that position believers for effective service in God’s work. First, we must actively seek God’s guidance through Scripture, prayer, and spiritual counsel rather than following our own plans. Second, living a holy life means turning from sin and pursuing Christ-likeness, becoming clean vessels ready for God’s use. Third, possessing a willing spirit involves serving God voluntarily with an eagerness to follow wherever He leads. These chapters also demonstrate how God uses different people in various roles, reminding us that while we serve in different ways, we all matter in His work and need each other to fulfill His purposes.
