At Lakeland Students are a high priority!!! Our desire is to REACH students with the life giving message of Jesus Christ, TEACH students the Word of God to help them become more like Christ, CALL students to a lifestyle of worship that glorifies and magnifies God, EQUIP students to serve in Ministry and ENGAGE youth in a community of believers under the common bond of Jesus Christ that support, love and pray for one another.
Darrell Halk has been the Minister of Students at Lakeland Baptist Church in Lewisville, Texas since March 1st 2007. He has 12 years youth ministry experience serving churches in Huntsville, Texas and Lewisville, Texas. His wife Tiffany is a 8th Grade English teacher and is currently teaching at Sanger Middle School. Darrell and Tiffany have one daughter Rylie who is 2 years old. Darrell is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a B.A. in English and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Arts in Christian Education (Student Ministry). Darrell’s passion is to build relationships with students, to support them in the things they are passionate about, help them grow closer to God, and teach them to passionately worship God with their life.
