Dana grew up in Abilene, TX, where she became a Christian in 3rd grade. At that time, her father had passed away due to illness and she had a lot of questions. Her mother answered all of her questions and led her through the plan of salvation. She loved the Lord, but it was in 7th grade when God became real to her in a personal way. It was then that she came to understand the necessity of walking with him daily. Dana graduated from Hardin-Simmons University where she met her husband David. They have two grown boys, Caleb and Justin. At Lakeland, she has provided support in the financial area and now serves primarily as an administrative assistant for several members of church leadership. Her hope for Lakeland is that we would have a continuing, growing desire to make our walk with the Lord a priority; that we would continue to encourage each other to see beyond ourselves; and that we would not be hesitant to embrace growth and change.
