Jesse was born in Clearwater, Florida and grew up in Carrollton, TX. While he grew up in a wonderful and loving family, he always depended on being a "good” person and didn’t recognize his sin and need for a Savior until high school. He graduated from the University of Texas-Arlington (B.A. in English) in 2011, where he also played Division 1 baseball. He then graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2014 with a Master of Divinity (concentration in Systematic Theology). He is currently a PhD student at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He leads the discipleship and spiritual formation ministries of the church. He married his wonderful wife Marissa in 2014, and they enjoy spending time with family and laughing a lot. Jesse and Marissa have one daughter, Macy. Jesse’s hope for Lakeland is that Christ would be supreme in every heart and that we would be used by God to take the Gospel to the ends of the Earth.
